Perryman five-for and openers' 50s bring 15 more points.

An almost faultless display with bat and ball brought Lancaster their second win in two games.

An Iain Perrieman spell full of nous and hostile intent broke the back of the St Annes innings before Jamie Heywood and Alex Metcalfe steered the visitors to another 15 points
victory.

St Annes had a rocky season last year and their woes look to have continued - opener Nanthesh Kiruparan began the procession with the first of many airy St Annes drives finding the edge to give Perrieman his first scalp.

With one end open, Lancaster didn't let up the pressure. Perrieman found pace and carry and troubled batsman on the back foot - De Wet Swart found the going too tough edging to Simm who parried the ball to Jamie Heywood.

Liam Moffat got in on the act from the other end, pinning Gurman Bains before finding the edge of pro Shadley Van Schalkwyk with two nipping deliveries to leave the hosts in the mire at 9 for 4.

Nathan Armstrong and Thomas Bradley launched a mini-recovery but the probing Perrieman and patient Moffat tried the patience of Armstrong who lamely spooned Moffat to Alex Metcalfe at mid-off for 16, 28 for 5.

The left-arm pair didn't let up - Richard Staines gave Moffat his fourth, edging another loose drive to sub-pro Billal Khiliji who, besides his important slip catches, would have a quiet day.

Perrieman continued to work away, out-thinking Luke Wilks with short of a length deliveries before issuing the coup de grace with a Yorker to the toe.

He then set up Matthew Grindley beautifully with some full balls followed by a short lifter to the body which the St Annes skipper could only glove to his opposite number, Ben Simm at third slip, 38 for 8.

Moffat and Perrieman began to tire and were replaced by Simm and Callum East.

Number 10 Mitchell Bolus supported Bradley and showed the rest of the line up how it should be done.

The pair waiting for the bad ball and counter-attacked - Bradley reaching a deserved 50 and Bolus reaching 41 before East beat a wild swing and rearranged the tailender's stumps.

Bradley finally fell to a returning Perrieman, slapping a short ball to East at mid-wicket to give the tall left-armer a deserved return of 5 for 28. But the recovery to 136 meant the hosts had something to bowl at.

Lancaster openers Heywood and Metcalfe looked in little trouble from the off.

Pro Van Schalkwyk got little response from the dry pitch and the pair used his pace to their advantage. Grindley tried to rotate his bowlers to no avail as Heywood punished anything short mercilessly.

Metcalfe, meanwhile, rotated the strike and fed off short wide deliveries. The left-right hand combination meant St Annes couldn't maintain any pressure on the openers. The pair eased past the hundred mark and their own 50s respectively.

Van Schalkwyk returned for a late burst of bouncers at Metcalfe but it was too little too late for the hosts. Heywood finished the job for Lancaster peppering two cover drives through the in-field to finish 77 not out alongside Metcalfe who finished on 59. Lancaster taking all the points - the second win in two games leaving them tied at the top of the table.
