There have been a few changes at Lancaster for 2018, Luke Phillips will take the helm of the first eleven again and has been busy with a player recruitment drive with the addition of four players to his squad. Steven Fisher comes over the river as wicket keeper opening batsman, Luke is absolutely delighted to have Steven behind the sticks as he has the potential to be a really great glove man for many years to come. All rounder Faizan Khan returns to the club having had a season away and can’t wait to get going, he brings with him his close friend quickie Uzair Shah. Talking to Luke about them he says Faizan smashes a hard ball and Uzair is a genuine wicket taker, both fantastic additions. Last but certainly not least there is young Coady Scott, very talented all round cricketer currently studying at the University of Cumbria. Along with the majority of the squad remaining Luke is very optimistic that his team can take the Palace Shield by storm and with an extremely well represented preseason he fully expects to hit the ground running.
